So busy... no time to write...

We've been so busy the last few weeks that I haven't had time to give any updates like I promised, so this will be a long one. The first weekend in August we went to Detroit to see Uncle Bobby, Aunt Karen, Tyler, and Justyn before they move to Ireland. Grandpa and Grandma Smith flew up from Florida and we all stayed at a hotel by the airport. Tyler and Justyn did a lot of swimming. I tried it out the first night, but the water was a little too cold for me so I mostly hung out on the side of the pool with Mommy and Grandma and watched the 'big boys' play.

Daddy and the boys had a tickle fight. I'm not so sure what I think about my Daddy playing with other people, but they seemed to be having fun.

Here's a "self-portrait" of Mommy, Tyler, and Justyn.

And a picture of all the boys.

We took professional pictures too, but we don't have those back yet. Do you know how hard it is to get 9 people to smile at the same time?

While the weekend was fun, the ride home was NOT. Have I told you that I HATE riding in the car. I slept for the first half, but the second half of the trip was pretty rough. Mommy and Daddy had to stop several times. I just don't understand why I have to sit in the caca car seat for so long. They don't have to. It's not fair!

Last weekend Mommy's friends - Kara, Chris, Jillian, and Max - came to visit. Jillian came in and gave me BIG hugs. I, of course, returned the love by pulling her curls (a new favorite trick of mine). I let Max sleep in my aquarium bouncer (it's too small for me now) while every one else ate dinner. We played a lot and I got to swing on my swingset like a big boy. All the fun wore me out and I crashed before they even left. I could tell Mommy enjoyed the visit too. She said it was just like old times. I think it had been over a year since they had seen each other, but you'd never know. Unfortunately, Mommy didn't get any pictures. Maybe next time.

The week days in between are all a blur. I can't even remembered what all happened now. I've been playing, growing, laughing, eating, and all that other fun. I know Mommy and Daddy did more work around the house. Daddy is very proud of the fact that both cars now fit in the garage and Mommy is happy to have the bench out of the playroom/office.

Today I go for my 6 month check-up so I'll post those results soon. I'm anxious to see how big I'm getting. My regular picture won't come until Monday (or maybe later because Mommy's camera isn't working) but I promise I'll post it as soon as I can.

Thanks for listening.
love,
troy
