8 months old!

2/3 of the way through my first year already. Can you believe it!?! Sorry I haven't been on much. Not only are things busy as usual, but Mommy lost her camera for several weeks. I know I can post without pictures, but it's not nearly as much fun. This month has been really busy, although now that I think about it I'm not sure what we've been doing. I do have a few new tricks. Gwamma got me a puppy that sings my favorite song - the ABC's. When you press his paw I sign along... well, actually I just move my mouth and no sounds come out... but I think I'm singing. Actually, I do the 'jaw chomp' a lot for many different occassions. Mommy just thinks the ABC's is the funniest. I lick mimicing people now too, especially when they make MY noises.

Just this week I figured out I can 'inch worm' my way to a lot of things. If I put my butt straight up in the air I can get on to my tippy-toes and push myself forward. It takes a lot of effort, but it gets the job done. Mom says I'm on the verge of crawling, what ever that means. All I know is that there are a lot of interesting things on my level that I can't wait to get to. Most of the time, though, I prefer to stand. I have a walker at my house and one and Gwamma and Gwampas. I can really cruise in those. I've learned how to go forward, back up, turn around, get the cat! It's a blast!!!

I really love this thing... I'm not sure what it's used for, but as a boy I just have this feeling that it's supposed to be mine.


For now I'll just eat it!

Mommy has a really busy week ahead, so it will be a while before you hear from me again. Saturday we leave for my first plane ride to Florida. I'll fill you in on all that when I get back. Right now, though, I have a cold and need to cut it short to go cuddle with Mommy.
