Birthdays (yes that's plural)!

Sorry it's taken me so long to post an update. We found out on the 19th that my Great-Grandma Smith passed away, so we were really busy last week. We actually took a long car ride to Champaign on my birthday (last Wednesday) to be with every one for the funeral. It was a nice little service. I did my part by making every one smile. Daddy said that was an important job so I gave it my all. We stayed in a hotel a couple rooms down from Grandma and Grandpa Smith. Here's me hanging out with them in their room Thursday morning.



On Friday we went over to Aunt Carol and Uncle Buddy's house for a birthday party. I had a lot of fun. I got to play with my cousin DJ, visit with every one, and they even sang the birthday song to me. I really liked that. I got lots of cool toys too. Here are some pictures from the party:

And, of course, me digging in. Really, I wasn't really sure why every one was standing around watching me. It's just cake. I barely took two bites. Daddy was trying to get me to play with it, but I wasn't too interested.





Saturday morning we left early to head home to avoid any bad weather. On Sunday we had ANOTHER party for me. This time with Mommy's family. Here's the Baby Einstein cake Mommy made:


I wasn't any more impressed with eating it than my other cake, but every one still stood around and watched.






Again, I got a lot of nice gifts. I really like this birthday thing. Here's one of Daddy's favorite pictures... me being chased by my birthday balloons!



Wow! That's a fast look back at the last week. I don't know about you, but I'm exhausted. I'll try to write again soon. I think Mommy and Daddy said I was going for my 12 month pictures this weekend, and I know I have a doctors appointment on Friday so I'll provide that update soon!
